TADA Falls

Tada

Tada falls or Ubbalamdugu Falls is in Tada mandal of Nellore district in India. It is situated on the border of Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh. It is situated around 95 km from Chennai.

It has a view of beautiful streams to cross and rocky area to climb upon. It would be better if you carry a rope with you. The water which flows from the falls is extremely cold and it is pure to drink, but still it is not recommended to drink it without boiling it as it may contain harmful bacteria or viruses which may cause ill effects to the human health.

Tada is a relatively little known tourist destination. It is known for its waterfall (Locally called as Ubbalamadugu Falls), hillocks and greenery. It is not recommended for the people who are overweight, because there are huge boulders and steep areas to climb on to. It is not easy for them to manage the climb without assistance of a rope.

There is no accommodation available. We have to stay there in the forest. Don't travel alone to this place, especially if you are a woman. A group of four or five will be ideal. You can have a nice stay at Srikalahasti

The tourists usually drive by road to the small town called Tada or from Srikalahasti then to a village called Varadayya Palem. From this village, it takes ten minutes by road to reach the forest gate. The road is nothing more than a trail of boulders, potholes and the occasional muddy pool.
